The Dance Café in Sunninghill, which opened in 2007, has grown to such an extent that it is opening its first satellite branch in the Fourways area.

"This will allow members to join the smaller branch for their lessons during the week but still be part of a larger "Mother" studio in Sunninghill"  Says Co-owner Colin Mandell.

The satellite will operate 2 days a week to start and as demand grows will expand its offering. It is based at the All Saints Anglican Church, 31 Richard Road, Kengies, Fourways.

The idea is that The Dance Café goes into a Joint Venture with the satellite manager and supplies all branding, syllabi, marketing and back office for the new venue with a view to growing it into a fully fledged owner-managed franchise.

"We have responded to the market and are looking at rather growing organically to satisfy our market rather than merely growing for growth sake" says Mandell "This is a very successful model in the US and social trends in SA points to the same strategy"

The Dance Café has grown both in member numbers as well as in events and Corporate work. The Brand now offers a Kidz Café Youth and School Brand and the very successful Corporate Café which is now offering events, Brand Theatre and Teambuilding activities.

The Dance Café will be looking at developing other Satellites in the near future, responding to the natural demand of its market.
